Fishing and Wildlife Watching
Canadian Princess Resort - August 27, 2013
They have been looking at fishing with the Canadian Princess for a long time. It was hearing about the Boston Whaler Outrage charters that made them eager to book their trip. Tracy Lanyan grew up in Gold River, on the northern west coast of Vancouver Island, but now lives near Kamloops. He has never been fishing on the ocean before and told the dock staff that he’s done his share of fishing in lakes.
Tracy landed the salmon Catch of the Day with this 16lbs-05oz Chinook salmon. His party also caught two halibut during their time with us.
Vern Hutchins was fishing with friends from Surrey, BC when he landed the Catch of the Day for the Delta Cruiser fishing charters. This avid angler usually fishes in the Fraser River near Chilliwack, but enjoys salt water fishing with the Canadian Princess. It was Vern’s sixth time fishing with us. His Chinook weighed 14lbs-05oz. Thanks again for choosing us for your ocean fishing holiday!
Although fishing is our passion, there is more to see and do with the Canadian Princess Resort. Our Whale Watching tours depart daily. Cruise out of the Ucluelet Harbour and explore the wildlife and nature that calls this coast home. You could see Humpback and Gray whales, Stellar and California Sea Lions, harbour seals, sea otters, bald eagles, and even black bears on the shore. All of our Whale Watching tours also cruise through the Broken Group Islands – offering spectacular coastal scenery and unique wildlife viewing opportunities in this cluster of islands protected by the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.
Happy Fishing and Happy Whale Watching!
