Fishing on the west coast has been great. We have a new season record, a 29.2lb chinook caught by Rod Faulkner. Halibut fishing has also been good - the season record for halibut is 59.1lb, caught by Kurtis Dawe. It has been a nice start to the season for 2012.
Just a reminder of the Ucluelet Salmon Ladder Derby which just weighed in their first Tyee (30+pound chinook) for 2012. Fish from the Canadian Princess and participate in this great local event.
Weather for the next week is looking promising! See you soon.
Cheers and tight lines,
Marine Operations Manager
