Canadian Princess Resort - September 30, 2013
The Canadian Princess Resort had another successful season of fishing and whale watching on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We had the pleasure of hosting countless fishing charters and loved being able to share in your fishing adventures this summer. Being a part of the excitement has you reeled in that trophy salmon or halibut (and often both!), being there when you weighed in the Catch of the Day, and listening to your fishing stories in the Chart Room Lounge are all memories we treasure.
We have a few highlights from the summer we would like to re-cap.
Fergus Malone caught biggest salmon weighing 29lbs-04oz.
Trudy Slootweg caught the biggest halibut. It weighed 46lbs-03oz.
It was her first halibut...but not her last!
The biggest ling cod weighed 41lbs-04oz.
It took two people just to lift it onto the scale!
Humpback, Gray and Orca Whales
We are so lucky to be able to observe these majestic marine mammals and there was no shortage of them this summer!
“Great fishing and happy guests—it doesn’t get much better than that! The season went quickly and the Canadian Princess crew worked hard to show our guests a memorable time here in Ucluelet. Lots of fish were caught and lots of stories were created. We want to thank our guests for coming to visit with us and look forward to seeing them again soon!” - Dianne St Jacques, General Manager at the Canadian Princess Resort.
The summer season 2013 has been an incredible west coast adventure. Thank you.
Until next season,
