Vancouver Island Fishing - Still going strong

Vancouver Island Fishing Resorts - September 5, 2002

At Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort, fishing is still going strong with Sockeye, Chinook and Coho being caught in the waters north of the resort. Earlier in the week, Painter's Lodge recorded a Tyee. Traditional Tyee rowing is still available for the next few weeks. Based on the number of large fish caught this season and success of some rowers, now is certainly the right time to test your skill and luck with this ultimate fishing challenge.

On the west side of the island, anglers and the Canadian Princess Resort are still bringing in Chinook, Coho and bottom fish in the waters of Barkley Sound. The resort closes in several weeks, so call now to get in on this great year of fishing.
