Spring is certainly dragging her heels coming upon us this year, but thankfully the fish are coming just as strong as summer should be! Chinook salmon and halibut have been keepings lines tight and tugged throughout the month of May and predictions for fish runs this year are looking extremely bright - sunshine or not.
The Coho salmon, too, have started to gather within Claoquot Sound earlier than normal – helping to support our faith in the optimistic predictions for stock numbers this summer. As the sun slowly begins to shine, and the seas begin to leave their turbulent winters behind them, all of us here are preparing to make summer 2010 one of our most successful seasons to date! Weather your coming out with your family or a group of friends, with the help and local knowledge of our captains and deck hands, you’re sure to be catching at full potential, and see some truly world class wildlife and natural habitats!
