There is no shortage of fish at the Canadian Princess Resort. As the season progresses the fish are getting bigger and there seem to be more of them! Steven Christman was on a special fishing trip with his Dad aboard the Whaler #5 with Skipper Kyle. Here he is posing with their total catch. We are very impressed with their haul of salmon and rock fish. Good job Steven!
We had an incredible weekend at the Canadian Princess Resort. Tim Davis kicked it off with his salmon Catch of the Day. He was on an evening Bottom Fishing trip on the Coho Princess when he landed this 24lbs-07oz fish.
We had 6 Delta Cruisers and 1 Boston Whaler Outrage head out on Saturday, making a total of 85 fishing guests! The sun was shining, the seas were calm and the fish were biting. This weekend defined ‘fishing in paradise’ on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
Jerry Chou hauled in the Catch of the Day for halibut, and holds this season's record for biggest halibut caught so far. He was celebrating his Dad’s 60th birthday with a fishing trip aboard the Nootka Princess. This father son duo from Washington DC own their own boat and fish often at Chesapeak Bay, but this was the first time they had ever caught a halibut. Jerry's halibut weighed 45lbs-06oz.
Bob Murphy landed the salmon Catch of the Day aboard the Salmon Princess with Captain Chewy. Bob was part of a large group visiting from Edmonton, Alberta that had two Delta Cruisers to themselves. This was his first fishing trip and his very first salmon. Congratulations Bob!
There’s more! Skipper Harvey took out a Bottom Fishing trip that afternoon. They brought in tote loads of fish including a giant lingcod, plenty of rock fish and these two halibut caught by Kin Kelsey and Jordan McDounall.
Last but not least, we had another very special Catch of the Day. Canadian Princess Manager Jeremy Riley’s son William caught this big crab from the Ucluelet Harbour. Way to go William!
So, what are you waiting for? Come see us at the Canadian Princess Resort and get in on all this action!
