Patrick Foy is a regular at the Canadian Princess Resort. In recent years he was known for driving across the island from his home in Nanaimo on a weekly basis to fish with us in Ucluelet. We have enjoyed having him as our guest this summer as well. This trip he landed a 15lbs-05oz salmon and a 18lbs-04oz halibut.
“I like the resort!” Patrick said. “I am used to the people. Everyone is really nice and I’m always well taken care of.”
Gordon Hay and his son Kevin were fishing on a Boston Whaler Charter when they both reeled in beautiful fish. Gordon boated a 14lbs-01oz salmon and Kevin caught a 30lbs-01oz halibut. We love seeing the Father-Son teams.
We have had a few foggy mornings over the long weekend but that didn't stop our fishing boats from witnessing whales, sea lions and other marine wildlife. The weather forecast calls for fog banks and light drizzle for tomorrow morning, clearing up in the afternoon and staying clear for the remainder of the week. We should see highs in the 18 to 20 degree range and winds blowing northwest at 10 to 25 knots.
