Fishing this year at the Canadian Princess Resort started off great with boat coming in with there limit of Chinook and halibut.Halibut has slowed in the past week and we are seeing fewer than the first week of fishing on the west coast But the salmon are still going strong and are larger than pervious years at this time. We do expect that the halibut fishing will pick up as the summer progresses. Afternoon rock fishing boats are limiting on rock fish and all guest are enjoying these trips.
Our biggest salmon this year was a 32 lb. Chinook caught by Al Moore of Port Alberni British Columbia. And our biggest Halibut was a 79.5 lb. caught by Dan Grenier of Chemanius British Columbia.
Weather for the up coming week calls for sun shine and no winds Hi’s of 18 – 20.
