Dock Talk

Sunny Sunday

Canadian Princess Resort - May 21, 2006

Vancouver Island halibut fishingLooks like this may be our last day of sun for a couple of days but a little rain never scares the fish away. Taking advantage of the sunshine, eager, smiling faces were out on the dock as some beautiful fish were weighed in at the scale.

Tyler Thorne from Shawnigan Lake brought in a 20 pound Chinook, and Mike Hudie got a beautiful a 22 pounder.

When Graham Hammel of Stony Plain, AB hefted a nice 39 pound halibut onto the hook, we thought he had fish of the day. That was until Chris Prochak of Lynnwood, WA strutted over with what turned out to be a 75 pound hali and became the new halibut leader in the May Madness derby! Nice!

Vancouver Island salmon fishingAlso noteworthy is Sherry Loyer, our giftshop guru. Sherry is leading our staff derby with a 22 pound Lingcod. Nice bucketmouth, Sherry!

You gotta love them 'buts,
