Our small town on the west coast holds an annual fishing derby in the Ukee Days festival. Thanks to all the guest who participated. The winner this year was a 45 pound chinook caught by Terry Touchie. Other honourable mentions include the second place 41 lb chinook and third place 39 pounder.
Chinook fishing has been great and the sizes are getting bigger as we move through August. Halibut fishing has been a little bit slow all year but the few that are coming in are larger between 20-70 lbs.
So fish on and tight lines!
