West Coast Fishing Report

Canadian Princess Resort - August 24, 2005

Away with the fog and in with the sun!

We’re still sending out full planes packed with fish each day, and continue to charter extras for the overflow. Prime fishing areas have been Big Bank and Area 1-23, which gave up a 49 lb. halibut to Ed Thomas and a 27 lb. Chinook to Hong Kim.

Good numbers of Chinook in the mid to high twenties are being weighed in daily, with some Tyees (over 30 lbs.) thrown in, too. One of them was Aida Horne’s 31 lb Chinook.

Those of you who are big on Texas-hold’em, we are now having nightly poker tournaments of 8-16 people, and the winner receives a fishing charter of their choice, as well as other fun prizes. Get more information when you check-in or with the in-flight host on our fly-in packages.

There’s only four weeks left in the season, so head out to the Canadian Princess for some outstanding fishing.
