Pet friendly rooms are also available for those travelling with animals. Looking to warm up after a cold winter day? Many of our rooms feature fire places for those who enjoy curling up by a hot fire during the winter months.

Beautiful Views

The Canadian Princess Resort is situated right in Ucluelet Harbour. Every room features a balcony which offers excellent views of the harbour and the many wildlife species that call this beautiful area home.

Learn the History

The Canadian Princess, previously the William J. Stewart, has a rich history that we’re always happy to share with our guests. The Stewart sailed for 43 years, mostly as a hydrographic ship, but was also given several top-secret assignments by the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. If you any questions about the history of the ship feel free to ask our crew.

Great Location

The Canadian Princess Resort is just a short drive from many great restaurants and eateries. If you’re not sure where you should go ask our crew for some recommendations. We’ll be sure to point you in the right direction. You can also check Trip Advisor for a list of restaurants in Ucluelet.

Ucluelet is also home to some of the best hiking trails in British Columbia. The Wild Pacific Trail is open during the winter and is a popular destination for storm watchers. Go to www.wildpacifictrail.com to learn more.

Extended Summer at the Canadian Princess!

Canadian Princess Resort - September 9, 2014

It seems we are in for an extended summer at the Canadian Princess Resort! Both the sun and salmon fishing continue to be plentiful in September, which is great news for anglers.

We are still seeing a good number of salmon, halibut and bottom fish hitting the docks, and with the kids still out of school and looking for something to do why not get them out on the water before the fishing season is over? There’s still room on our Delta boats, the Kingfisher and our Boston Whalers, so you’ll have lots of options to choose from.

Also, there’s more good news for anglers! Halibut limits have been increased to two per day, so make sure to take advantage and get fishing!

Late Season Fishing Still Excellent

Canadian Princess Resort - August 27, 2014

Looking to do some fishing before the end of the season? Then you’re in luck! As the summer winds down at the Canadian Princess the fishing keeps winding up!

Coho are here in good numbers with several of the larger “Northern” Coho coming back to the dock in double digits. Chinook numbers are strong and the “20lb smileys” are hanging on scale on a consistent basis. We are looking forward to the strong finish right through the end of September and we plan on taking full advantage of increased Coho retention limits set to come into effect September 1st.

Our new Kingfisher had a stellar day last weekend, with 4 Springs and 8 Coho brought to the boat. We’re looking forward to cruising the beaches for the late season Tyees so the “Tyee Princess” can start earning her new name!

We hope to see you out on the water before the season is over!
