Fishing

Fishing at the Canadian Princess Fishing Lodge is from powerful 43 foot 14 passenger and 52 foot 22 passenger cabin cruisers, equipped with washrooms, heated cabins, and lots of deck space. Boats are equipped with top quality jigging rods, level wind reels, and Point Wilson Dart lures. We do not provide all weather gear, so please bring your own. Coffee and hot chocolate are available during your trip, and boxed lunches may be ordered the day before at the front desk.

Your reservation coordinator can advise which fishing trips are included in your package. Please confirm your fishing times upon arrival at the resort.

We encourage all guests who are not on a package to pre-book their fishing before arrival to ensure the availability of preferred fishing times.

Fish Handling

Fish will be cleaned, packed in strong plastic bags and refrigerated during your stay with us by our Lodge Crew. If you would like to have your catch canned or smoked, we can deliver it to St. Jean's Cannery for a reasonable cost. The cannery will forward it directly to you after processing. Fish boxes and gel packs are available for transport for a small extra charge at the resort. We recommend that guests driving home bring a cooler for their catch.

If you are flying from the resort, our crew will clean, bag, label and refrigerate your fish, and it will arrive back in Vancouver with you, cold and fresh. Guests are responsible to care for their fish after arrival in Vancouver. Insulated boxes are available for purchase at the South Terminal in Vancouver.

Guests Fishing on our Kingfisher 2825s will have their catch cleaned, vacuum sealed and flash frozen - ready for transport home.

There is a nominal fish cleaning charge for optional afternoon fishing charters.
