Halibut in the clouds

The current "May Madness" record remains unbeaten. though, but we did have a 14lb Chinook caught by Robert from Nanaimo and a 48lb. Halibut caught by Donald from Campbell River come through our resort in the past few days. We are having an average of 5 boats doing morning trips and 1-2 boats going out in the afternoon. Halibut is the hot fish right now, and of course Lingcod and rockfish are both doing well! A walk on the Wickaninnish Beach shows an outline of nice bright sun, but of course the town of Ucluelet is stuck in a cloud pit! Forecast calls for rain, let's hope it is wrong!! -Melissa*
