The fishing is hot up here in Ucluelet, so get yourselves up here to get your share of the salmon.
Dozens of Chinook salmon crossed the docks today. There was a battle at the scale, with the top contenders weighing in at 20, 20, 23 and 23 ½ lbs. These were all trumped, however, by a 25 lb. Chinook that topped the salmon charts for the day.
Some nice halibut were also scored on this cloudy but dry day — great for photo opps!
We still have two all-day boats out, but the skippers report that they already have some great catches on board.
