Rainy Day Activities

Oh I Love A Rainy Night…

Now, we have noticed that many adults have forgotten the joys of walking in the rain and truly believe that they must be “made of sugar” and will melt if wet! There is no bad weather! Just a poor “dress code”. The deep colours and lovely smells brought out by rain is unparalleled. The trees in this area are huge for a reason – lots of sun AND lots of rain. The ground is spongy and meant to absorb great quantities of wet stuff and is sheltered by large trees. Perfect hiking atmosphere. Revisit your childhood. Warm up in the motel sauna after your walk.

Zip-lining Tofino and Ucluelet

Zip-lining through Kennedy River

The Kennedy River Watershed is Traditional Tla-o-qui-aht Territory. A view from above would reveal this hidden treasure, a fantastic canyon only steps from Highway 4. Hidden by dense rainforest and cut from centuries of flowing white water, the canyon plunges to over 100 ft. below the road level. The river drops and pools its way through the canyon as it narrows and forces the water through spaces so small the only way to see it is from above… on a zipline. 40-minute drive from town.
